Villars, where each season paints a new backdrop for your family adventures. Far from the bustle of cities, our resort offers a pause where time seems to slow down, leaving room for wonder. Here’s how to turn your next stay with Gérance Service into a true epic for your little explorers.
1. Adventure at the heart of the village: Villars Fun Park

Imagine a place where your children can run and jump freely with the alpine peaks as their horizon. Villars Fun Park is the must-visit destination for sunny afternoons. In winter, a sledging slope suitable for young children is open every day (depending on snow conditions). A magic carpet takes you back up the slope effortlessly. In the warmer months, the play area is equipped with a hamster wheel and slacklines. Replacing the sledging slope, a tubing run is open—enjoy the thrill of sliding, even in summer! Hop onto a tube and zoom down a purpose-built slope. Fun guaranteed for the whole family! While the youngest explore the bouncy castles or bounce on the trampolines, you can enjoy a coffee on the terrace while keeping an eye on them.
- The little extra: It’s the perfect place for them to make new holiday friends from day one.
- Practical info: Open every day in summer (10am–6pm). Contact: +41 (0)24 495 32 30.

2. The magical journey: The Villars-Bretaye Cog Railway

Nothing makes children’s eyes sparkle quite like the departure of the little red train. This trip isn’t just transport—it’s an immersive experience. In winter, you’ll meet eager skiers; in summer, the train winds through alpine pastures where cowbells ring. Arriving at Col de Bretaye (1,800m), you stand at the gateway to the peaks.
Important information – The BVB line is preparing for a transformation: The Bex–Villars–Bretaye (BVB) line is about to undergo a major overhaul to deliver a more modern service to its passengers. In the coming years, the BVB will be equipped with new, more comfortable trains, renovated stations, and infrastructure that is secure and accessible for people with reduced mobility. To bring these improvements to life, large-scale works will be carried out in 2026 and require an interruption of the line from 16 March until November between Bex and Villars. During this period, replacement buses will run on this section, with a timetable almost identical to the train’s.
- The little extra: The view of Mont-Blanc on the way up is simply breathtaking.
- Practical info: Runs year-round, departures every 30 min.
